About
The Fisher & Talwar $1,000 General Scholarship is now available to students currently pursuing or plan on pursuing a college degree.
Eligibility
Available to students who are pursuing a degree (graduate or undergraduate):
The deadline to apply for the 2017 scholarship was November 15th, 2017. Any applications submitted after this date will not be considered for the 2017 scholarship.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be a full-time student who is currently attending (or planning to attend full-time) an accredited institution of higher education.
- Must provide proof of current enrollment or plans to enroll in an accredited institution of higher education. If you have not received acceptance, you may still apply, but be sure to provide proof of acceptance and enrollment for the scholarship to be released. For this, if you can submit a picture of an acceptance letter, a email screenshot, anything to try and verify that you have been accepted. If you are considering multiple schools and have not made your final selection, that’s fine. Just verify acceptance to at least one institution of higher education. We will be verifying enrollment prior to send any funds.
- Must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA.
Award
A check for $1000 will be made payable to the award recipient’s university or college to be used solely for tuition and related expenses.
The Fisher & Talwar scholarship recipient will be notified on or about December 15, 2017.
Application
To receive the award, the recipient must provide the following documentation:
- Proof of admission and enrollment.
Application Materials & Topic
To apply, applicants must submit:
- Completed application.
- A 500-word essay on the following topic: Who or what is your inspiration for pursuing an education?
- Proof of acceptance and enrollment.
Failure to include all required materials will result in immediate rejection of the application.

Fisher & Talwar Legal Inspiration Scholarship is available to students pursuing a degree at any accredited institution of higher education.
What counts as proof of enrollment?
Only official academic records from your school’s office of registrar will be counted as proof of enrollment. Please do not send your unofficial transcripts or copies of your class schedule as we cannot verify this information.
What if I’m not enrolled yet?
If you have been accepted to attend in the Fall 2017 semester but have not yet enrolled, please provide proof of acceptance with your application. Proof of acceptance must show that you’ll be attending full-time.
